Responsible for the day-to-day management of the License Agreement between the Gay Games Host City and the FGG. Committee will periodically meet with host via conference calls, site visits and other means as required. During the first years of the cycle, meetings could be on a quarterly basis but about two years prior meetings could be monthly and then even weekly. The committee will also be reviewing reports submitted to the FGG by the host and providing a summary report to the board monthly and to the assembly on an annual basis.
The committee serves as the link between the host city and the FGG Board of Directors.
The committee is only comprised of members of the board of directors of the FGG. The committee is made up of the VP Host Relations, a Sports Officer, VP Marketing, VP Culture, Co-President, Treasurer and any other board member assigned by the board to the committee. Consultants may be assigned to the committee as needed and as approved by the FGG board.
The host for Gay Games 9 in 2014 is Cleveland Special Events Corporation. Work begins 5 years before each Gay Games, and continues for approximately one year after closing ceremonies as reports are completed and given to the FGG and passed to the next host.
