Sports are at the heart of the Gay Games, and the Federation of Gay Games is at the heart of LGBT sport.

Every four years the Gay Games welcome over 10,000 athletes in some 30 sports. Any adult athlete is welcome: male or female, gay or straight, novice or elite. Participants range from rank beginners to Olympic medalists, and each competes in genuine competition in an atmosphere of fun and mutual support.

The LGBT sports movement that was in large part created by the Gay Games continues between the quadrennial sports and culture festival. The FGG welcomes athletes from every sport to these pages, where they will find information about their sport, offer their own contributions to the development of competitive opportunities for their sport, and work with fellow athletes so that the range of LGBT sport can continue to grow.
