Bidding organization statement

Limerick City is bidding to host the Gay Games because we believe Limerick is the perfect location to celebrate the tenth games. We believe that Limerick has the capacity, the drive and the ability to successfully bid and host GGX in a central, singular location which will provide a unique and enjoyable experience for all the Games participants and spectators.

We believe that in hosting the Gay Games in Limerick in 2018, we will have a unique opportunity to showcase our infamous Irish welcome in a city renowned for its Sporting heritage to our International LGBT brothers and sisters. We firmly believe that the hosting of the Gay Games in 2018 will leave a lasting impact on our city, our region, and our nation in the years after the event, in a way which may be lost in other cities.
