The vote to select a host city for 2018 took place during the Federation’s 2013 Annual General Assembly, which was held in Cleveland from 5 to 9 October 2013. Organizers of the 2014 Gay Games presented by the Cleveland Foundation, which will took place in August, 2014, in Cleveland +Akron, welcomed Paris into the fraternity of host cities.
“We congratulate Paris on becoming the home of the 2018 Gay Games,” said Steve Sokany, co-chair of the 2014 Gay Games board of directors. “It’s a world-class city and a perfect fit to follow Cleveland+Akron to host this international sports and cultural showcase.”
