FGG Committees

Archives Committee

The archives committee is responsible for the archiving and maintenance of historical Gay Games data, media and artifacts. The committee is currently looking for volunteers to help with this, specifically tagging archive photos and converting sports results into a new format.

Communications Committee

The communications committee is responsible for keeping our website up-to-date, writing newsletters and press releases, and managing social media content. The committee is currently looking for volunteers to help with social media and website content.

Culture & Ceremonies Committee

The culture & ceremonies committee is responsible for all decisions about arts and culture, especially relevant to the upcoming Gay Games XII in València 2026. The committee is currently looking for volunteers to help ensure the Gay Games adheres to rules set out by the FGG, and promote and advocate for cultural entities in the Gay Games.

Development Committee

The development committee is responsible for ensuring the Gay Games has enough sponsorship to organise and put on our international evet. The committee is currently looking for volunteers to help contact sponsors and organise deals.

Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee

The equity, diversity & inclusion committee is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of diversity including sexual orientation, gender expression, race, people with disabilities, age, or health are represented and catered for at the Gay Games - both at our events but also within our organization. The committee is currently looking for individuals that may have a diversity & inclusion work background or people passionate about making change  for EDI that can help identify ways we can be more inclusive from an organizational structure.

Human Resources Committee

The human resources committee is focused on making improvements in all areas of the volunteer life cycle (attracting, recruiting, onboarding, development, retention, exit and advocacy). We are looking for people that have ideas, experience or want to develop skills and want to take action on ways we can improve. 

International Development Committee

The international development committee is responsible for building new connections with LGBTQ+ sports and cultural entities around the world. The committee is looking for individuals who can help forge those relationships.

Marketing Committee

The marketing committee is responsible for making sure the message of the Gay Games is heard around the world by everyone who might be interested in attending. The committee is looking for individuals with experience in marketing and/or graphic design skills to help us design, build and lauch our marketing strategy in advance of the Gay Games XII in València in 2026

Membership Committee

The membership committee is responsible for recruiting new member organisations, managing their voting rights at elections and ensuring that they are kept informed of new developments. The committee is looking for individuals to help vote on new membership applications as well as update them on news.

Scholarship Committee

The scholarship committee strategizes the scholarship approach for the next Gay Games, as well as marketing and promotion of the program. The committee is looking for individuals to help with fundraising and awareness, and review and scoring of application. NB: You cannot be on this committee and be a potential scholar at the same time.
